Well, I love design.

I think I've always known that. As a child, I saved my allowance for the 96 pack of hard sided Crayola crayons and would keep them in chromatic order. I joined the school newspaper in 3rd grade. Through high school, I was on yearbook, Prom committee, and the school newspaper. Yes, I was an overachiever with B grades. It wasn't until college that I knew that graphic design was even a career option.

Fast forward eight years, I find myself in New York City with an internship at YM magazine. Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought to move to NYC. But there I was, and stayed for the next 10 years. I fell in love with the city.

It was here that I landed roles that were usually reserved for more senior designers. I had to figure things out quickly, in which I gained a lot of experience as a young designer. When working in environments with 3 person agencies, to start-ups, to large corporations, you learn so much about people and process.

Through the years, I've learned that I not only love design, but I love the process. I enjoy the strategy of who, what, where, and why we are communicating. I find value in metrics and am always thinking about brand partnerships. It goes beyond making things look pretty.  I try to instill that learning into my team.

When I'm not designing, you can find me eating (and cooking), watching indie/horror/documentary films, and taking Boomerang photos of my dog and husband.

With a willingness to learn (and teach), witty sense of humor, and a love for food, my imaginative style can be a great addition to your team.
